Deadline extended.

Journal Entry: Fri Dec 4, 2009, 1:59 PM
Info

The Theme: Dancing in the Rain
Style: Photomanipulation
The Requirements: You may use any brush set, texture or stock photo from the =digital-amphetamine gallery plus a model shot from the lovely `Elandria to interpret the theme Dancing in the Rain

:bulletblue: Interpret the theme of Dancing in the rain. When I think of rain, I think of falling water. So each deviation must include moving water. No still water please. The entry must convey some sort of meaning.

:bulletblue: An original story with your entry is a plus, but not required.

:bulletblue: You may use other model stock as long as you still use stock/brushes/textures from =digital-amphetamine and a model stock from `Elandria

:bulletblue: Automatic disqualifications will be given to anyone who fails to abide by the Artists Comments of each deviation. This is far as credit, print usage, etc goes. This rule will be inforced without warning, so pay close attention to the artists comments. Also if you breach `Elandria's terms of use, you will also be disqualified.

:bulletblue: You must credit, notify and follow all artist's rules.

:bulletblue: Entries will be accepted by note only. Any entries left by comment will be ignored and subject to disqualification.

:bulletblue: You may submit up to 4 entries.

The contest has been extended until January 5th, 2010. This has been done for several reasons including: Christmas is draining my account and there are so few entries. Enjoy the extension!

A Misty Cliff Taster has been uploaded into the gallery. You may use this stock by following the rules located in the artists comments. Don't be shy!

You may contact me and other great stock artists at [link] , see you there!

Contest theme Poll

Sun Jun 21, 2009, 7:35 AM

That is win.

Also, I have picked 4 themes to be voted on in the current poll below this journal. [Or on the front page depending on how you are viewing.] The model choice is `Elandria, who won by 2 votes. Your input is greatly appreciated and if you do not like the choices listed, feel free to name your own! The poll will last 4 days.

Rules: Revised and Final.

Fri Jun 19, 2009, 11:06 AM
Just to make this easier for everyone who seems to not understand, I have come up with a detailed list by category of the stocks/brushes/textures in the gallery.

BRUSHES:

There are over 30 brush sets on this account and each are unrestricted. This means: You can use them off-site, in layouts, in prints or whatever keeps your boat floating. The only rule is to not redistribute them and give credit. I think that's easy enough, right?

Textures:

The textures are basically the same as the brushes. You can use them in whatever you want, prints, layouts, off-site. Do not redistribute or make brushes out of them and always remember to credit.

PHOTOLISTER ALBUM:

The entire *photo-lister album is unrestricted. Each of the stocks in that folder can be used off-site, in prints, in layouts or whatever you could find use for the stock. Please keep in mind that each of those stocks require a specific linkware credit. On each photo there is a link on how to credit. Please use this. The artists comments are very important.

Other Stocks:

Other stocks such as the restricted albums and premade albums are subject to individual rules. This is why you pay close attention to the artists comments section. These stocks are restricted due to either their quality or difficulty to obtain. The vast majority of these stocks will be granted print and off-site permissions if you only do one thing: ASK.

Horse Deviations:

Yes, I will discriminate. If you don't like it, quit your bitching. I really don't care how much it pisses you off, etc. But I am personally tired of seeing my misty cliff series with a bunch of horses. If I see that you have a potential of creating something that isn't just a horse in a field, I will note you PRIVATELY and give you permission to use whatever stock you please. I have to keep this private because some people tend to get butthurt. Consider the horse deviations an "exclusive" basis.

If you want to continue to bitch about the horse deviations, I can ban you from seeing my account entirely, but I hope I will not have to come to that.

If something in this journal was not written clear enough, please send all inquiries by note.

Currently

The much needed subscription has been purchased and now I can finally begin to work on the next contest. I have been thinking of "Dark is my Demeanor, take two", since it got such a wide range of entries. Currently there is a poll on my front page to vote [or add your own] model stock for the upcoming contest. Your input will help greatly.
